… About Our Garden: Here They Come

The tomatoes are finally turning red — and turning fast! They go from “not quite ready to pick” orange to “reddish enough to pick before something goes wrong” orange in 36 hours. Need proof?

On the vine on July 10 at 12:04 p.m. — they look like peaches!

The same ones on July 11 at 7:43 p.m. — plus a few others we didn’t even notice the day before!

And here’s how they’re looking after a day in the window. Ready to eat!

We did pick one other red tomato a few days before these, but that one didn’t turn out so well:

And here it is after we picked it (notice it’s the same view).

And it looked OK on the inside, but only up near the stem, because…

… the bottom was rotten and completely disgusting!
