… About Our Garden: One Month Progress Report

As you can see, the garden is progressing nicely. Here are some “before” (left) and “after” (right) photos. The “before” ones were taken about two weeks after planting (5/26) and the “after” ones about five weeks after planting (6/13). At this point we’ve harvested lettuce and strawberries. We think the strawberries are pretty much done — we had those early harvests but since then we’ve just been getting a berry or two every few days. We have dozens of green tomatoes but haven’t seen any squash yet — just lots of leaves and flowers. Two of the three broccoli plants are thriving — the third looks OK, it’s just half the size of the other two. The carrots and potatoes have lots of above ground growth, but it will be a while before we find out what’s going on underground.
